Locker Room Towels - The Timid and the Proud

I grew up in the age where taking showers after gym class in junior high school was mandatory. Like most boys, the first few weeks of seventh grade were really embarrassing when we all had to strip naked and see each other in the very open group showers. But I knew that, at least for me, after just a couple of weeks I realize that exposing my own almost hairless little thing was the price I had to pay in order to see all the other boys' almost hairless little things. I quickly began to look forward to the days I had gym class, not because I like gym, but because I liked seeing all my classmates naked. But I think there was something a little different at our school that I wanted to share with everyone.

Apparently included in our fees was a towel service, So at my school we not only had to strip naked at our lockers but then we had to walk naked to the showers with no towel to hold in front of ourselves or to wrap around our skinny little 12-year-old bodies.

After we took our "60 second shower", only then cold we scurry over to the rack to pick up a fresh towel, and then we had to dry ourselves off still in this area right outside the showers, before again scurrying naked back to our lockers to put our close back on. After not too many weeks, we were getting more relaxed at all being naked, so at least for me that offered much more time to view the private beauty of all my classmates.

Unfortunately, not being able to take our towels back to our lockers made it so that we were usually trying to pull our socks back on over wet feet. I remember when we came back after Christmas vacation, they changed the policy and allowed us to bring our towels back to our lockers so we could dry off our feet. Apparently a few of the boys developed terrible cases of "athlete's foot" and their parents complained to the school. So then armed with an available towel, maybe half of the boys started wrapping their towel around them or holding it in front of them to hide their little weenies when running back from the showers. (But then there were the rest of us who either carried our towel to our side or wrapped it around our neck as we walked back, I suppose a little more comfortable or even proud to let everyone else still see our young developing boy parts.)
