I think the occurrence of wet dreams depends on how long a guy is delayed after hitting puberty but before learning to masturbate. If he starts pumping cum pretty soon after crossing the line, he would never have a wet dream because there is no backlog of ejaculate or climaxes. But if he is delayed in learning to wank, Mother Nature will regulate things by firing loads for him.
My experience: I found my first nocturnal emission when I was 13. But did not experience my first hand job until late fourteen. As a result of that state of ignorance, I had aggravating wet dreams about every three weeks.
At school we had book covers of heavy brown paper decorated with ads for local stores. In eighth grade one of my book covers had a calendar printed on it. While trying to figure out the wet dream curse, I remember circling the dates when I woke up and found goo in my underwear.

I agree with this OP. However in opposition of the OP, I was not a late starter since I began wanking to orgasm at 12. However it did not take long until I had a 2 a day schedule going (3-a-days when necessity arose). Consequently I don't recall that I ever had a Wet-Dream in my teens.

I was fifteen when I discovered the Big M. That's the latest I've ever heard of. As you say, different experiences. About nocturnal emissions, I knew what the stuff was but had no idea I could create it on demand.
