I didn't see my classmates naked like the rest of you since we did not have PE classes at my school.
However, I learned from reading books about puberty, that the underarm hair and the pubic hair came in at about the same time. Some boys would take off their shirts when playing in warm weather. Other boys wore undershirts with no sleeves. Sometimes we would choose up sides and have two teams, the shirts versus the skins. In this way a person could see boys armpits.
You could tell how much hair they had, if any. In that way I secretly judged whether a boy probably had hair around his you-know-what. This was a private mental game for me.

Reading this brings back long forgotten memories of fascinating over which boys had arm pit hair at school. I remember being so excited when I sprouted my own, as I was a little bit of a late developer. I loved looking to see how much hair my fellow classmates had.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of the hair thing, I remember that everybody wore shorts for much of the year. Some guys would get hair on their legs, which their legs would look kind of bristly. But when you looked at their face and arms, they were still smooth. I wondered whether they had dick hair yet. Or not. Did not think of the arm pit hair.
ReplyDeletei had phy ed when i went school. i look forward to the locker room. we all had to go into the shower together. i would watch as the boys change out of there phy gear. i liked looking at the older boys hair they had in there arm pits and in the grown area.
